Naxos is the largestof the Cycl....Bla..Bla..Bla...
Naxos have been my resort the last years. Not because of the island, But
because of the people I use to meet there. Naxos is beautiful, but also
crowded with tourists, And in highseason its like a joke. The strip in
town can be so crowded that you have to take alternative ways to get
from one point to another. It seems like Naxos has become a intermediate
landing for the one heading for the small cyclades like koufonissi and
shinousa, mostly scandinavian families, Koufonissi must look like a
kindergarten in these days. I think that these people did island hopping
when they was younger and now they like to do the same with their kids.
Naxos will probably turn to a real party island when all these kids gets
old enough for the nightlife |

Agias Georgos Beach, Close to town. A
nice beach, But mostly crowded. But here are some empty sun beds. Its
plenty of rooms in this area and Its easy to use this beach every day if
you stay in town, But believe me, Its worth to spend twenty minutes on
the local bus and go to beaches like Agia Anna or somewhere else |
| Its normally very easy to find accommodation on
Naxos. But!!! pay attention. Some of the stool pigeons who meet in the
port offering rooms can be a little bit dishonest. They tell you one
price at the port and another (higher) when your already in the room.
Fortunately most of them are alright and honest, and most of the rooms
are in good condition. On the other hand why deal about rooms at the
port, Its better to walk around and find the area you like and look for
rooms ther |
